Ms. Serdoncillo teaches 2nd grade. She has taught at Braddock Gifted Magnet for over 16 years. Prior to that, she taught at another school for 7 years.
Ms. Serdoncillo enjoys reading books, baking with her daughter, riding her mountain bike and road bike, and watching movies. Some of her all-time favorite novels are the Harry Potter series and other adventure and mystery books. When she was a child, she enjoyed reading Nancy Drew books and Choose-Your-Own Adventure books.
When Ms. Serdoncillo was in school, her favorite subjects were Math, Science, and History. The hardest thing about school when she was younger was art and making crafts because she believes herself to be not naturally artistic. She enjoyed solving math problems, doing puzzles such as the Rubix cube, and reading all sorts of novels.
Ms. Serdoncillo loves working with children. Her favorite moments are when she sees them figure things out on their own and have what she calls a “lightbulb moment.”
